2017 Enrichment Schedule PreK - K Week 1: June 26 – June 30 DRAWING & PAINTING (Ages PreK 4- Kindergarten) Discover the basics of drawing while exploring different styles of media such as oil pastels, markers, color pencils, watercolor paints, and tempera paints. BOOKS, COOKS & CRAFTS (Ages PreK 4- Kindergarten) From the classroom to the kitchen, read great stories and bring them to life with creative food projects and fun crafts. Students will design a unique take-home cookbook with all their favorite story time recipes.

Week 2: July 3 – July 7 (no class July 4)

SAND ART (Ages PreK 4- Kindergarten) Can’t get to the beach this summer? Come create sand art projects, everything will be sand based. COMPUTER TIME! (Ages PreK 4- Kindergarten) Have you ever wished you had more time to putter around at the computer? In this class you will have plenty of time to practice keyboarding skills and play games, and other fun activities.

Week 3: July 10 – July 14

WILD ABOUT ANIMALS (Ages PreK 4- Kindergarten) Wild about animals or just an animal lover? If so, then this class is designed just for you. Become a zoologist and learn interesting facts about your favorite animals. Create wild animal crafts, and even learn some really cool animal yoga poses. BUILDING BLOCKS (Ages PreK 4- Kindergarten) Bring out the builder in you using Lego’s, blocks, Lincoln Logs and other building toys!

Week 4: July 17 – July 21 SUMMER TIME FUN! (Ages PreK 4- Kindergarten) Kids create summer inspired art crafts such as sand art, sea life and more! They will also learn to make all those delicious treats you find down at the boardwalk like fudge, caramel popcorn, ice cream and more. CLAY! CLAY! CLAY! (Ages PreK 4- Kindergarten) Love the feeling of squishy clay between your fingers? You will create a variety of clay projects including picture frames, animals, and more!

Week 5: July 24 – July 28 SHAKES & STORIES (Ages PreK 4- Kindergarten) Nothing beats the heat like a frozen treat. Let’s cool down and learn how to whip up some scrumptious fruit smoothies and delicious incredible shakes while listening to some incredible stories.

PAPER PLATE CRAFTS (Ages PreK 4- Kindergarten)

Did you know that a paper plate is more than a dish for eating food from? It is the beginning of all kinds of great crafts. Come make awesome crafts starting from a paper plate!

Week 6: July 31 – Aug 4

FUSE BEAD FUN (Ages PreK 4- 2nd Grade) Increase your fine motor coordination as you use fuse beads to create an original work of art or follow a prepared pattern. CUPCAKE WARS (Ages PreK 4- 2nd Grade) Calling all kids that love to bake and create! Are you up for the ultimate cupcake challenge? Join us for cupcake fun! Learn how to make, ice, and embellish cupcakes!
