2018 Vendor Rules & Regulations  Hours of operation Lorain Better Block (LBB) vendors must stay for the duration of the LBB event day for which they signed up. The event runs Saturday from 12pm to 8pm. Set up will begin at 8:00 AM and teardown will begin at 8:00 PM on May 19, 2018. LBB Permits/Licenses/Insurance: Vendor Booth Fees: There is a $50.00 deposit to participate in the LBB for the vendors selected by the LBB committee. The entire deposit will be returned to you upon completion of the event. This is to ensure vendor attendance. Vendors selling unpackaged food or food prepared on site may need to acquire a ​TEMPORARY FOOD ESTABLISHMENT  PERMIT. Please visit ​www.loraincountyhealth.com/food-safety/applications-forms-laws​ to file required permits.​ The license fee for a commercial temporary food operation license is $40.00 per day. The license fee for a non-commercial (non-profit organization that files a 501-C3 with the IRS) temporary food operation license is $20.00 per day. Product pricing: LBB vendors determine the pricing and display of their products. Vendors will be responsible for managing all transactions at their booth. Sales tax and permits: Vendors shall, if applicable, have a Sales Tax Certificate or any applicable licenses and permits available for inspection at their LBB booth. It is the vendor’s responsibility to comply with the State Comptroller’s requirements for any products sold at LBB. Insurance/Indemnity: Vendors shall be solely responsible for damages resulting from the sale of unsafe or unsound goods at the LBB. All vendors must either 1) name Lorain Better Block as additional insured on their general product liability policy or b) sign the attached indemnity agreement. By applying to sell at LBB, vendor is agreeing to this condition. The LBB vendor upon signing the 2018 Lorain Better Block Rules and Regulations expressly releases all claims for loss, damage or injury from The Lorain Better Block and City of Lorain employees and volunteers. Any damage to the LBB event site due to the carelessness of a LBB vendor, employee or exhibitor guest will be the responsibility of that exhibitor.

Vendor Food safety: Vendors are responsible for obtaining all applicable licenses & permits. Vendors shall comply with all applicable City Of Lorain, State of Ohio and federal ordinances and/or regulations regarding permits, sampling, and safe handling of potentially hazardous foods​.  LBB Booth Space: LBB Vendors must supply their own tents, tent weights, tables, chairs, signage, refrigeration, extension cords and power strips, storage, and all materials and containers for customer sales. A standard LBB vendor space is 10 feet x 10 feet. ​ A vendor is not required to but may erect a tent over their assigned space. The tent should be limited to 10 feet x 10 feet. Designation and

allocation of vendor spaces will be decided by the LBB organizer. While LBB organizers make every attempt to assign LBB booth space for designated vendors, there is no guarantee on location and space may not be moved once assigned. Electricity: Electricity will be available onsite for vendors. Vendors are expected to bring their own 25-foot extension cords and power strips to access electricity. Trash: Trash receptacles will be available onsite during clean-up. Please dispose of any large items directly in the dumpsters.

Setup/Tear Down: SETUP Friday May 18: Vendors who are occupying storefronts may begin arriving at 6pm Friday to set up and be ready to greet their customers for the opening of the event on Saturday at 12pm. Vendors are responsible for the security of any items set up on Friday and left overnight in storefronts. LBB is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items. Saturday May 19: Vendors may arrive at 8am to set up and be ready to conduct business for the opening of the event at 12pm.

TEARDOWN Saturday May 19: Teardown begins Saturday at 8pm. Vendors will be allowed 1.5 hours to break down their booths and clear their vehicles from the area. Parking: There are FREE City owned parking lots located behind the United Way between 6th and 7th street in Lorain. Please unload your items in the designated area and move your car to these parking areas. Cancellation policy: If you decide that you cannot participate in the event, please give at least 2 weeks notice to LBB organizers in order to receive your entire deposit and so the layout can be adjusted. Cancellations notification must be received on or before Saturday May 5, 2018. LBB Vendor Conduct: LBB Vendors are required to conduct their business and communications with LBB organizers, customers, other vendors, and any other LBB representatives, in a professional manner. Unprofessional, impolite and/or disagreeable behavior to any LBB vendor/representative, vendor or customer will not be tolerated. If a vendor is rude, ill-mannered, unprofessional, or difficult to work with, or receives excessive complaints from a customer, LBB organizers, or other vendors, or if a vendor fails to follow any of the foregoing Rules and Regulations, the LBB organizers may terminate its vendor relationship at any time at the full discretion of the LBB. LBB Vendor Default: Violation of any provision of the LBB Rules and Regulations shall be a material breach and default by the vendor. The market representative shall reserve the right to cancel any vendor’s participation at any time if and when the vendor shall be found to be in violation of any market rule or eligibility requirements. LBB Revisions to the Rules and Regulations: The LBB organizers shall reserve the right to revise the LBB Rules and Regulations at any time and shall post notice of such revision to vendors.
