ADMISSION CRITERIA

Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB) Business School Degree Master of Business Administation (MBA) Master of Science in Management (MSc) Program Global Leader Program - Master in Management Language English Duration   1 year (Full-time) / 2 year (Full-time & Part-time) Enrollment  Spring (April) Fall (September)

Applicants will be evaluated with regard to achievements, attitudes, skills, goals, motivation, and career growth potential.

School

INTERVIEWS An interview is required of all applicants. Domestic applicants (residents of Japan) must come to the NUCB Nagoya campus to take an interview examination upon request. A Skype interview will be arranged for those living outside Japan. We may arrange another date for the on-site interview other than the dates indicated below only if you have unavoidable reasons. Please contact the Admissions Office for more details. *Applicants with less than 3-year work experience will be required to take an essay-exam.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADMISSION Applicants should satisfy the following qualifications: 1. Minimum of 16-years education with bachelor degree or its equivalent 2. Minimum of 3-years work experience or its equivalent (Not required for 2 year GLP applicants in MSc) *An applicant without standard qualifications who is approved as having equivalent competency by preliminary screening and has reached the age of 22 by the time of appication may apply.

FEES Application Fee : JPY 20,000 Domestic / JPY 21,500 Internatioal Admissions Fee : JPY 270,000 Tuition Fee (1-year degree) : JPY 2,230,000 / year* Tuition Fee (2-year degree) : JPY 2,730,000 / 2 years* * Case material fees are included in tuition.

PRELIMINARY SCREENING A preliminary screening is required for the following applicants: 1. Bachelor degree holder with less than 16 years of education and/or less than 3-year working experience or its equivalent 2. Diploma or certificate holder with 3-year working experience 3. Others (Please contact the Admissions Office for more details)

Tuition is required to be paid semiannually in equal installments.

ADMISSION SCHOLARSHIP Candidates with minimum GMAT 560 can apply for NUCB Scholarship at the time of admission. Recipients of the scholarship are determined on the basis of the candidates’ application documents and the result of entrance exam. The scholarship amount will be awarded to eligible students after enrollment.

We may arrange additional interview dates if you have unavoidable reasons but in principle you must come Final interview date for Spring 2018 admission will be January 30, 2018 for residents outside of Japan. . (5) Official Transcripts in English Official transcripts and certificates for all colleges and universities you have graduated. The original copies (not photocopies of originals) must bear the official stamp or seal of the institution as well as the signature of the appropriate official. If transcripts and certificates are not in English, the applicant must provide a certified translation of the documents in English.

Essays are a critical portion of your application. Please answer the following questions as candidly as possible. Your answer to each question below offers us an opportunity to learn more about you apart from the information you have given in the other sections of your application. Answers should be limited to one page per essay, double-spaced, using 12-point font. Be sure to include your name and the essay number at the top of each essay.

Your application must include the items listed below. All required materials should be received by NUCB Graduate School on or before the designated application deadline. The admission committee will not review incomplete applications.

The application fee is non-refundable.The fee should be paid by telegraphy transfer. A photocopy of the Telegraphic Application Form must be enclosed in the application documents. Bank transfer fees on the domestic and Japanese side are the responsibility of the applicant (see page 8). It is also possible to make the payment through PayPal on the NUCB homepage.

A GMAT score is required of applicants with minimum of 3-year work experience. The GMAT may be waived based on the applicant’s level of work experience and undergraduate GPA. Please contact the NUCB Admissions Office ([email protected]) for more details.The test score is valid if it is received within the last five years.The test scores submitted more than two years ago are not retained by the NUCB Admissions Office.The GMAT institution code for the NUCB Business School is 7109. The test date of your GMAT must be indicated in the application form. For those who apply with the GMAT waiver, please include the e-mail confirmation from the NUCB office in place of the test score when you submit your application.

You are responsible for securing two letters of recommendation from individuals qualified to write about your potential for success in both a graduate business program and professional career. We prefer letters from your supervisors. If you are employed, at least one letter should be from a superior. Two letters of recommendation are usually sufficient. If you feel there is information that can only be conveyed in an additional letter, you may submit it with the application materials, and any additional letter must be on official letterhead paper.
