ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS Reads with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension Identifies main idea and supporting details in fiction and nonfiction text Uses appropriate strategies to comprehend informational text and literature Writes well-organized texts for a variety of purposes (expository, narrative, opinion) Cites appropriate evidence to support ideas Uses knowledge of language and its conventions when writing, speaking, reading, or listening

MATH Uses a variety of models, tools, and multiple strategies to demonstrate understanding of mathematical structures or patterns Fluently calculates using number sense and flexibility Clearly communicates and justifies mathematical reasoning Makes sense of problems and perseveres in solving them

SCIENCE Physical Science - Makes observations to provide evidence that energy can be transferred from place to place by light, heat, and electrical currents. Life Science- Constructs an argument that plants and animals in Idaho have structures that function to support survival, growth, and behavior. Earth Science - Uses maps, observations, and past evidence to explain changes in landscape over time. Engineering- Generates possible solutions to a simple problem and then plans/conducts fair tests using the design process.

HEALTH Demonstrates understanding of appropriate choices for a healthy body and a healthy mind
