School Closure Policy In each cancellation situation, after conferring with the President, the Vice President of Operations will notify the following personnel regarding the status of operations:   

 

Vice President, Finance (Cass) Vice President, Academic Affairs (Lima) Vice President, Marine Operations (Bushy) Vice President, Operations (O’Keefe) Vice President, Student Services/ComCad (Rozak)

   

Media Relations (Ryan) Technology (Fallon) Webmaster (Novak) Public Safety (Slattery)

In the event that the college closes mid-day, all departments will be contacted by telephone with the closing information. The Department of Human Resources will facilitate this action. Should the college close due to inclement weather, all employees designated as “essential” must report to work. Public notification of cancellations and closures will be made through the campus emergency notification system, website, and the following media channels: Cape Cod Radio Stations: WQRC-FM 99.9FM WPXC-FM 103FM WRZE-FM 96.3 WXTK-FM 95.1FM WCOD-FM 106FM

Boston Radio: WRKO-AM 680AM WBZ-AM 1030AM

Boston TV stations: WBZ-TV WCVB-TV Channel 5 WHDH-TV Channel 7 NECN Fox TV

Providence radio and TV stations may provide cancellation information as well. If the Academy is open any employee who feels it is unsafe to travel, may use appropriate leave time (and must notify their supervisor). Except in the case of a campus wide evacuation, every effort shall be made to maintain the following student centered services:    

Public Safety Dining services Gymnasium access Library services

Please note: Closure of the Executive Offices does not include state universities. Closure of the college is at the discretion of the President.
