83% of Democrats, 73% of Republicans, and 81% of Independents oppose the Supreme Court decision in Citizens United v. FEC. 7 states – Massachusetts, California, Hawaii, Maryland, New Mexico, Rhode Island and Vermont, and 300 US municipalities (70 in MA) have passed resolutions supporting an amendment.  11 state attorneys general, including Martha Coakley of Massachusetts, have written to Congress urging action. Over a dozen versions of democracy amendments have been introduced by U.S. Representatives and Senators. 2 million+ people have signed petitions supporting an amendment. 115+ citizens’ organizations support an amendment. 
