Citizens United v. FEC (2010) and other Supreme Court decisions have gutted laws that have kept corporations and billionaires from unfairly influencing our elections. Special interest money makes government more beholden to political donors than to voters. Political spending has soared from $5 billion in 2008 to $8 billion in 2012!

YES to a Constitution for “We the People”

FEC. 7 states – Massachusetts, California, Hawaii, Maryland, New Mexico, Rhode Island and Vermont, and 300 US municipalities (70 in MA) have passed resolutions supporting an amendment.  11 state attorneys general, including Martha Coakley of Massachusetts, have written to Congress urging action. Over a dozen versions of democracy amendments have been introduced by U.S. Representatives and Senators. 2 million+ people have signed petitions supporting an amendment. 115+ citizens’ organizations support an amendment. 
