9th GRADE EDP/CAREER CRUISING INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUGUST 2016 **PLEASE UPDATE YOUR EDP STARTING AUGUST 1, 2016** CAREER CRUISING LOG-IN  Username: WL-_______________________You MUST type WL and the (-), then your student ID# without any initials.  Password: _________________(your computer password or the password you created unless you are a new student)  If you are a new student: You will need to enter your full birthdate with a 4 digit year…[MMDDYYYY]. Follow prompts to create a new password, please use your birth year and initials (example: 1998jk) MY ACCOUNT – upper right corner of screen  Verify your profile information is up to date.  Click on EDIT PROFILE, then the PENCIL icon to start editing  Click SAVE at the bottom of the screen SHARE MY EDP – Invite parent/guardian to view your EDP  Click on MY EDP (under your name).  Click on SHARE MY EDP  Click on INVITE PARENT/GUARDIAN and follow prompts MY PROGRESS Below are the required 9th grade EDP/Career Cruising updates for the 2016-17 school year. You must complete all areas as a part of your online registration. Remember to SAVE any changes to your EDP and click the REFLECT & CONFIRM box for each section to reach 100% completion. For detailed instructions see below: o My Skills – Click on the START NOW button to the RIGHT of your last MATCHMAKER session. o My Saved Careers – Minimum 2 o Course Plan – 10th Grade – Minimum 6 Credits o My Saved Pathways o Career and Life Goals ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** MATCHMAKER: Click on MY PROGRESS – for NEW STUDENTS ONLY – otherwise skip to next section  Click on START NEW MATCHMAKER – label your session 9th Grade and select START NOW  Click NEXT on LEVEL OF EDUCATION  Make sure to answer all questions and review list.  IMPROVE MY RESULTS : Click on ANSWER MORE QUESTIONS – left side of screen – until all questions are complete  Choose a career from your list & explore the career by clicking on the links on the left side of the screen  If this is a career you would like to save, click SAVE TO MY EDP. SAVE AT LEAST 2 CAREERS  To get back to your Matchmaker list click the back arrow until you get to your list  Once careers are saved, click on MY PROGRESS, select CAREER MATCHMAKER, then click the REFLECT & CONFIRM box at the top of the screen MY SKILLS: Click on MY PROGRESS  If you have completed a previous Career Matchmaker session, select your most current session under BEST MATCH, click on the START NOW button under MY SKILLS and follow the prompts – This section auto saves  Click on MY SKILLS – Click on the START NOW button to the RIGHT of your last MATCHMAKER session.  Click on the REFLECT & CONFIRM box at the top of the screen

MY SAVED CAREERS: Click on MY PROGRESS  Verify your previous career selections or click on FIND CAREERS to explore other careers  Use Keyword Search to select new careers  Select career and click SAVE TO MY EDP; must have a minimum of TWO careers saved – use the back button to search for another career  Click on MY EDP (under your name) to go back to MY PROGRESS to complete the MY SAVED CAREER section  Click on the REFLECT & CONFIRM box at the top of the screen COURSE PLAN: 10th Grade: Click on MY PROGRESS  Click on COURSE PLAN: 9th Grade – Minimum 6 Credits  This is not your schedule for next school year. Just a projection of interested courses for 10th grade  Choose your desired course and click ADD COURSE at bottom of the screen  To select electives choose COURSE OPTION.  From the Course Information screen choose DISCIPLINE and then select department course offerings  Choose course, then click ADD COURSE after each selection at the bottom of the screen.  Once courses are added this section auto saves your information. You DO NOT need to SUBMIT your course selections. MY SAVED PATHWAYS: Click on MY PROGRESS  Choose MY SAVED PATHWAYS  Update or choose your 1st and 2nd choice from the drop down menus and SAVE  Click on the REFLECT & CONFIRM box at the top of the screen to complete this section CAREER & LIFE GOALS: Click on MY PROGRESS  Edit or complete your SHORT and LONG TERM GOALS by clicking on the pencil icon  SAVE after each goal  Click the REFLECT & CONFIRM BOX at the top of the screen
