Application: • To electrically round out high-voltage connectors and to bound to insulating materials to minimize electrical stresses. • Continue semi-conducting strand shielding found in solid dielectric (polyethylene, XLP, EPR, etc.) cables at 5kV and above. • Provide shielding for cable joints on solid dielectric insulated power cables (shielded or concentric neutral). • Replace semi-conducting layer beneath metallic shield of similar cable in case of damage (screening). • Make conductive portion of stress cone of power cable termination on solid dielectrica insulated power cables. • Maintain positive connection between concentric neutral semi-conducting jackets of power cables and semi-conducting surfaces of plug-in units. • Establish a more positive contact between concentric neutral wires and pre-molded devices already installed with too much jacket exposed. • Round out bolted connections on insulated bus bars.

The REPL-Jointmaster unscreened separable connector (RUSC) is used to insulate the connection between the termination and right angle bushing in SF-6 insulated switchgear rated up to 17.5kV. The RUSC can be easily disconnected for testing purposes and reconnected with standard tooling, making it an ideal product for use in switchgear and other similar confined spaces. The silicon rubber based moulded product is manufactured from a nontracking material which insulates, connects and provides environmental protection while having an unlimited shelf life.
The REPL-Jointmaster elastomeric bushing insulating boots are used to insulate the bushings in switchgear and transformer cable termination boxes up to 17.5kV, specially where the clearances between phase to phase and phase to earth are less than the normal required for air type termination clearances. These boots provide protection against flash over in the event of high humidity and surge impulse. The boots are manufactured from highly insulating, non-tracking, flexible weather resistant material. The anti-tracking elastomeric boot possesses excellent erosion resistance and dielectric properties, providing superb performance in areas of electrical stress and high humidity.

WRAP AROUND REPAIR SLEEVE REPL-Jointmaster Heat Shrinkable Wrap Around Sleeves are used for the repair of the inner and outer sheaths of damaged cables. These sleeves are also ideal for corrosion protection of metallic parts of the cables that are exposed to polluted environment, as well as for making of Telecommunication cable joints. The wrap around sleeves are manufactured from thermally stabilised, cross linked, weather resistant polymeric material. The sleeves are coated internally with hot melt adhesive. The outer surface of the sleeves is coated with heat activated thermocromic paint.
