AHEAD Binder E/N 2-component ​solvent-free epoxy resin Description AHEAD Binder E/N is a two-component, transparent binder based on low-viscous, solvent-free epoxy resins. AHEAD Binder E/N adheres excellently to concrete, brick, natural stone and wood. AHEAD Binder E/N complies in the ZEBRA system and is ​applied to seal off the ZEBRA PDR. Areas of application Transparent binder for different uses, such as applying over ZEBRA PDR, on epoxy mortars and synthetic floors, on sufficiently aged and dry substrates. The substrate on which flooring systems with AHEAD Binder E/N are applied will be dust-free, oil-resistant and the chemical-resistance will be better as well as the wear-resistance and durability. Preparations Concrete/cement-sand mortar substrates These substrates are to be clean, perfectly dry, free from grease and at least 28 days old. No cement powder or cement glue layer may be present. Cement-sand finishing layers must adhere well to the substrate. All dust, dirt, moulds, loose parts are to be removed in order to obtain a clean adhesion surface. If necessary degrease with detergent and/or degreaser. The substrate is to be perfectly dry. Mixing Beware that Binder E/N has to be mixed into a perfectly homogeneous mass shortly before use. Mixing can be done mechanically or by hand with a stirrer or temper knife. Stir first component A thoroughly, then add component B. Mix thoroughly. Pour the mixture in a clean drum and mix again. Thorough mixing of both components is essential. Fillers can be mixed in the A-component before adding B-component, or after mixing both components, beware that this will result in a shorter pot life. Application Over ZEBRA PDR - Pour a thin line along the ZEBRA PDR and use a squeezer to even the ​AHEAD Binder E/N. Depending on consistency apply with a palette knife or squeegee.

Pot life As a mixture 10°C - approx. 30 minutes 20°C - approx. 35 minutes Curing time At 20°C - 6 hours. Second / continuous layers application must cure for 20 hours at 15°C. Cleaning and storage Tools can be cleaned with detergent, provided the material has not cured yet.
