E-Newsletter—April 2016 Director’s Update Nicole Novotny Smith Licensing and Transfer Delays Please be advised that the Real Estate Commission is experiencing high volume in new real estate licenses, license upgrades and transfers. Because of this sudden increase in the amount of applications and transfers, processing time has increased. It can take up to three weeks to process a new license, two weeks to process a license upgrade and one week for a license transfer. We are doing our best to keep up with demand at this time and your patience is appreciated. Processing time for appraiser certifications, AMC registrations and temporary permits are not impacted at this time. Since volume has increased, I am engaging an administrative protocol to reject incomplete real estate license applications. I will notify applicants and give them three working business days to send in all paperwork for a new license, license upgrade or transfer if something (i.e. photo or identification) is missing from the application. Once the three business days have passed, applications will be shredded and individuals will be required to re-submit all forms, certificates and identification. If you have questions or concerns, please contact me at 307-777-7141. Your understanding is appreciated. 2617 E. Lincolnway, Cheyenne, WY 82002-0180, 307-777-7141, realestate.wyo.gov
