Federationvide its letter of even number dated0910212016 (copy enclosed)broughtto the notice of Railway Board a caseof SouthernRailway (ChennaiDivision) where a largenumberof Loco Pilot (Goods)have beendeclaredfailed on accountof their non-clearanceof Aptitude Test held in December 2015, although they have been found fit for promotion to the post of Loco Pilot (Passenger)/Motonnan.At the same time the Federationhas made certain proposalsto reviewihe policy of conducting Aptitude Test de-novo.A period of more than lYz month has passed,there is no responsefrom the Board. NFIR, therefore,once again requeststhe Railway Board to considerthe points raisedby the Federationfor reviewing the policy directives in view of the fact that the presentincumbents of Loco Pilots are technically qualified, efficient and are capable to shoulder the higher responsibilitiesof Loco Pilot (Pass)/Motonnanin the given circumstances. Federationmay be kept apprisedof the action taken in the matter. DA/As above
