[email protected] } Abstract Suppose you have local line of phone at your home or nearest place and you want to do some urgent STD or ISD call, more no operator at STD booth during night time, so that he can connects you to the destination STD line, you are stuck here. But I have come up with an idea, by which you can call to any STD or ISD automatically through your local line only by following few steps. 1. Introduction To get this service, first user has to call to the local line at office. It has one computer with modem, STD, ISD line, DTMF 1 decoder (KT3170) and switching circuits, connected to computer through printer port (LPT) for decoding security code and destination phone no which user types from his local phone only. Also computer C program which handles all the actions and events which has been taken place during connection between calling and called party. System is totally secured by password which user has to type before any step towards STD, ISD call. Also it depends on Credits of user. 2. How automatic Conference Call happens? 1. CP12 calls on local phone at centre. 2. Local line is connected to modem, which receives the phone and sends 1 2

the message “Type the Password” as audio to the CP1. 3. CP1 types the password, system decode it using DTMF decoder and verify it with stored records. If it found match sends the message based on his balance that “Type the Destination Phone no” or “You have no balance” as audio to CP1. 4. Again DTMF decoder detects the destination no and sends command to modem to dial this phone no. automatically. Once the CP2 receives the call, switching action takes place using Relay and it established the connection between CP1 and CP23. 5. Now system continuously checks and deducts the balance according to the pulse and controls the connection between the two parties. 6. If anyone breaks the connection, system disconnects them and tells the balance to CP1 if it asks. 3. Challenges Faced Security is the main aspects here. It should be such that no one can use another accounts to do call. It is handled by password facility. Secondly real time issues like when the call is being taken place between CP1 and CP2, the balance of CP1 has to be reduced according to pulse and if it goes to zero then it should cuts the connection. So, all these issues are taken care by system very well.

4. Applications & Future Plans We can add or modify many features in this system like current balance, code inquiry. Also we can use this system for automatic answering machine as it stores all the records, such that user asks the question and it searches the records, if it found match sends results as audio only. That is really a great application itself of this system “automatic conference call”. I had done this project during my graduation from DDIT college, Gujarat.
