1998 Domaine de La Janasse Cuvee Chaupin, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Rhone Tasting Notes: “…intense aromas of licorice, garrigue, black plums, cherries, kirsch, pepper, earth and spice, …an explosion of flavor and sensuous, deep textures. The long, concentrated finish delivered layers of lush, pure, ripe, spicy, dark berries.”
1999 Domaine de La Janasse Cuvee Chaupin, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Rhone Tasting Notes: “Has a fresh, lively feel with plenty of violets, mint and floral qualities to go with exotic spices, fruit cake and mature fruit. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it’s drinking spectacularly, but will continue to evolve gracefully going forward.” “...light in color, fully mature…. Offers soft, bright cherries and is slightly herbaceous in character.” Donated by: Stan and Anne Boychuck
