Configuring Cabrillo Email – iPhone 7 Step 1: Select Settings
Step2: Scroll down setting dialog and click at Mail
Step 3: Select Accounts
Step 4: Select Add Account
Step 5: Select Other
Step 6: Select Add Mail Account
Step 7: Fill in Account info and press Next
After Fields are entered Next will be enabled

For Name, put in your actual Name (e.g. Takashi Tamasu) For Email, put in your Cabrillo email (e.g.
[email protected]) For Password, put in your Cabrillo password For Description, a useful label like “Cabrillo Email”
Step 7: Fill in Information for Incoming and outgoing mail server and click at Next. Click Next after entering Server Information.
For Incoming Mail Server For Host name: mail.cabrillo.edu For User Name: your email name without the @cabrillo.edu For Password: your Cabrillo password. For Outgoing Mail Server For Hostname: mail.cabrillo.edu
Step 8: Turn on Mail and select Save.
Step9: Synchronizing folders with the mail Server. Besides the inbox, the iPhone expects to be able to synchronize with four other folders on the mail server: • • • •
Draft Mailbox Sent Mailbox Deleted Mail Box Archive Mail Box.
A new mail account on the mail server. If you are a new user on the mail server, you may not have all the standard folders. You are guaranteed to have the inbox folder (the only one that you do not have to set on the phone) Creating a Sent mail folder. If you want to create a Sent folder on the mail server, all you need to do is send a mail to yourself. Creating a Drafts mail folder A draft folder is created when you have not send a mail but have saved it, On Thunderbird, you would start to send a mail to yourself but you would press the Save button instead of the Send button.
Creating a Trash Folder If a Trash folder is not available (It will display folder in leftmost pane in Thunderbird)
You would just delete any mail and the Trash folder will be created.
Creating an Archives Folder Again it is easy to create an Archives folder using Thunder bird. Select any email and right Click on that mail which will bring up a local menu; then select Archive.
` This will create the Archives folder on the mail server.
Using Advanced option on the iPhone to setup folders to synchronize. Select Cabrillo email (or the name of the new account) Now when you go to the Settings |Mail | Accounts, select new account Cabrillo Mail

Setting up Folders to sync
Tap Draft Mailbox and select Drafts. Tap Sent Mailbox and select Sent. Tap Deleted Mailbox and select Trash. Tap Archive Mailbox and select Archive
Option to change where to send delete messages (leave it at Deleted Mailbox)
By default it will permanently remove deleted messages after 7 days. Other options would be one day, one month or never.
Setup Draft Mailbox
Tap on Drafts in the ON THE SERVER section and a check mark will appear on Drafts. Then select
Setup Sent Mailbox
Tap on Sent in the ON THE SERVER section and a check mark will appear on Sent. Then select
Setup Deleted Mailbox
Tap on Trash in the ON THE SERVER section and a check mark will appear on Trash. Then select
Setup Archive Mailbox
Tap on Archives in the ON THE SERVER section and a check mark will appear on Archives. Then select
