_____________________________________________________________________________ SITE ADMINISTRATOR, INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGES (ELEMENTARY) PROGRAM COMP-CE: 036-17 The Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) invites applications from candidates interested in being considered for the International Languages (Elementary) Program Continuing Education Site Administrator and supply Site Administrator positions. Staffing for these positions will depend upon student enrollment. Under the supervision of the International Languages (Elementary) Co-ordinator, the incumbent will be responsible for on-site supervision of the International Languages (Elementary) Program. Responsibilities will include: on-site supervision of staff and students; co-ordination of registration; curriculum development, personnel and financial administration; program planning; evaluation of program and teaching team; implementation of policies and procedures according to the International Languages manual and other OCSB policies; acting as a liaison between the Saturday program and the Monday to Friday day program; acting as a liaison between parent and representatives of the International Languages (Elementary) program, and the Board; performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. The IL Site Administrator is also the OCSB administrative supervisor for the whole site during the hours of work and will be the first point of contact for any safe school issues from other programs or groups using the site on Saturdays. QUALIFICATIONS

A comprehensive knowledge of the guidelines and operations of the International Languages (Elementary) Program. Qualification and experience in second language acquisition. Ability to work independently and to provide supervisory expertise. Experience in administration and teaching in the International Languages Program. Registration with the Ontario College of Teachers, a Certificate of Qualification or an Interim Certificate of Qualification and qualifications in the Primary, Junior or Intermediate Division or equivalent would be an asset. Principal’s Qualifications and proficiency in an international language would also be assets. Evidence of completion of First Aid Training or willingness to complete this training at own expense.
Compensation: Site Administrator – $35.16 per hour plus 4% vacation pay Supply Site Administrator – $28.61 per hour plus 4% vacation pay In accordance with Board Policy, an acceptable Police Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector and completion of Health & Safety training will be required as a condition of employment.
