Dear FUSD Community, As part of our District’s commitment to being KIDS FIRST, FUSD has undertaken a curriculum adoption process to review and propose high quality materials for student learning. As part of a multi-year multicontent area comprehensive adoption, the District will be recommending two curricular programs in mathematics and social-emotional learning for board approval for the 2017-2018 school year, with other content areas to follow. Two representative committees were formed for each content area with stakeholders from all District schools. After several weeks of review Eureka Math and Sanford Harmony were chosen to put forth for public review. Since we realize that parents are our partners we want your feedback! Materials for both the math and social and emotional learning curriculum will be displayed at the District office foyer from May 1st to July 1st, 2017. Our District office is located at 1000 Main Street in Florence, Arizona. If you would like to investigate the proposed resources electronically, please go to www.greatminds.org/math, click on the LEARN MORE link and watch a short video introducing you to the curriculum. You will also find tabs where you can investigate materials from a teacher, administrator or parent point of view. To access the social and emotional learning curriculum that will be recommended to the board, please visit www.sanfordharmony.org where you can read an overview of the program and investigate all teaching materials.
