“In the next 100 years, we have the opportunity to ensure humanities survival. I want to make sure I did everything I could.”
Summary With 4.5 years of industrial experience across a broad range of computing (micro-controllers to distributed cloud platforms), an M. Sc. in Physics specializing in space science and technology, and 3 years of solo development of a stratospheric glider, I will be an ideal addition and even potential leader within multidisciplinary space-technology environments.

SYSTEM ARCHITECT & LEAD DEVELOPER
• • • • • •
Mar. 2015 - PRESENT
Designed and lead development of GAVIP; a data-analysis platform deployed in ESA (European Space Agency) for the Gaia mission. Designed and developed the initial prototypes of a similar platform to GAVIP for Earth Observation data-analysis of Sentinel & LandSat satellites. Built and helped maintain all internal company ICT infrastructure including code repositories and continuous integration systems. Technical contact to several external teams who were building software to be deployed on the GAVIP platform. Coordinated with all internal and external teams to help drive the particular implementations of the GAVIP platform. Not only payed close attention to detail but also always endeavored to implement intelligent solutions to problems. – GAVIP (a web platform) can be used entirely from the command line. – The command line client is compatible with all versions of GAVIP as it generates it’s functionality from GAVIP’s online documentation.

INTERN & LEAD SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
June 2014 – October 2014
• Lead a team of 3 engineers in building software to analyze the power requirements of flight-testing hardware. • Software was developed following best practices and successfully integrated into a mature enterprise software suite.

CLOUD OPERATIONS ENGINEER & PRODUCT RESEARCH
July 2011 – September 2013
• Managed infrastructure consisting of hundreds of servers distributed across many geographical locations and data-centers. • Developed automation software and end-to-end systems. • Developed and deployed ‘Overseer’, an internal system which tracked all customers and applications developed within FeedHenry infrastructure to aid internal teams (primarily support and management). • Researched methods of repackaging the FeedHenry platform (usually spanning several machines) into a single self-deploying software package to run on a virtual machine. • Researched and developed an internal application to demonstrate best-practices within application-development teams within the company (despite not developing applications in prior roles).

STRATOSPHERE GLIDER/UAV DEVELOPMENT
July 2012 – PRESENT
• Designed a unique UAV which descends autonomously from a height of φЈЈӴ ЈЈЈց֏ to a configurable GPS coordinate. • Developed all software including micro-controller systems in C, glider control systems in Python, and a distributed array of ground-stations using Python, and AWS servers. • Conducted several tests from software testing, to flight testing using faked GPS coordinates, and physical flight/parachute tests. • Endlessly evaluated potential failure scenarios and challenges during development (including servo grease freezing and electromagnetic interference).

EDUCUBE SOFTWARE SYSTEMS
June 2016 – December 2016
• Coordinated within a small team to develop EduCube, an educational CubeSat. • Developed all EduCube micro-controller systems on each of the EduCube modules including Electrical Power Systems (EPS) and Command Data & Handling (CD&H) modules. • Designed and built ground-station systems (software only) to communicate with EduCube through wired and radio links. The ground-station allows students to monitor and control the EduCube from their laptops. • Designed and implemented a Python command line client to EduCube allowing students to monitor/control the payload. EduCube is being presented at a KeyNote talk at the COSPAR Symposium 2017
