Dear Colleagues, On behalf of Lancashire North Clinical Commissioning Group, Lancaster District CVS, and Lancashire Wellbeing Service, it is our pleasure to extend the invitation to an event on Thursday 28th of April 9.30am – 15.00pm (lunch provided). The event has been organised in order to build, better understand, and feedback on potential partnership work between Lancashire North CCG and local invaluable voluntary sector organisations. Better Care Together (BCT) is a significant programme of work which will transform the health and social care system across Lancashire. It brings together partners, including local NHS organisations and councils, to ensure that services change to meet the needs of local people. As such, voluntary, community, and faith sector organisations and their input are vital to the success of the Better Care Together programme. We want to ensure that the VCFS is regularly able to have their voices heard and input their ideas right at the heart of the Better Care Together programme, by being connected alongside other partners such as local authority, NHS and other organisations. We would also like to ensure the VCFS is able to hear the developments of the programme and how they can contribute further. VCFS organisations, because they are embedded in their community are uniquely placed to provide invaluable intelligence on local areas and communities, and the challenges within / for them. How we manage and co-ordinate this input is something we would like your views and ideas on. Therefore we are running an event to enable the VCFS to find out more about Better Care Together and discuss how we can work together. The event will be held at: Moor Lane Mills, Moor Lane, Lancaster. This is a great opportunity to find out about other local services, share best practice, and engage with the Better Care Together programme. I do hope that you will be able join us.
