Under Department Order No. 71-70 dated May 4, 1970, as amended by Department Order rlo. C9-71 dated September 8, 1971, the authority to rct on proposed appointments involving positions at salaries below P4,404.00 per emus has been delegated to Undersecretary Pedro M. Almanzor. This delegation of autho-

rit; however has been rendered ineffective as a result of the implementation of the WAPCO Index therein certain positions have been upgraded from R-39 to R-42 with a minimum salary of 94,632.00 per annum. In view of the exigencies of the service and to rive effect to the purpose and intent of the aforementioned delegation of authority to act and sign papers, Undersecretary Alsanzor is hereby authorized to continue exercising the authority granted him under th-^ aforementioned Department Order and the authority shall now include positions upgraded to 8-42 with a minimum salary of £-4,63c.CO per annum, and all positions below R-42. The pertinent provisions of Department Order No. 69-71 are hereby amended accordingly. This Crder shall take offect immediately.
