SEMINAR-WORKSHOP OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ASIA AND THE PACIFIC (UA&P) The University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) will conduct its SeminarWorkshop entitled History as a Wisdom and Citizenship Course: Approaches to Teaching History in the K to 12 Curriculum from May 14 to 16, 2015 at the UA&P Campus, Pearl Drive, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The Seminar-Workshop aims to: 1. help the teacher-participants understand the relevance of History as a wisdom and citizenship course; 2. demonstrate them how to make use of specific topics in History to teach citizenship; 3. share with them some best practices concerning teaching approaches and assessment tools in Social Studies; and 4. give them an idea of the skills that students can learn through the study of History, such as critical thinking and the ability to integrate various components of History that helped shape the world today.
