Absorption of Quasi Administrative Units Staff in erstwhile Group oD' categories in Railways: The Federation (NFIR) invited attention of the Railway Board (CRB, MS) to the relevantpara containedin the legal opinion given by ASG, wherein it was stated"a relaxation or modification of earlier policy shouldonly be madein rare casesand any action taken by the Railways should be just, fair and reasonableand in public interest". In this context, the Federation contendedthat the Railway Board has cancelled the policy arbitrarily, though framed with prior consultations with the Federationsin the year 1977 and therefore the cancellationof policy decision arbitrarily was incorrect and insisted for reviewine the decision. The Board may look into this again.
