Attached is DepEd Advisory No. 275, s. 2016 dated September 28, 2016, re: 2016 WORLD FOOD DAY CONTEST OF THE FOOD AND AGRJCULTURE ORGANIZATION for School Year (SY) 2016-2017, content of which is self explanatory, for the information and guidance of all concerned. Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no disruption-ofclasses policy stipulated in DepEd Orde~005 entitlecirnstitutingMeasures to In-crease Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuing Compliance Therewith. This is also subject to the nocollection policy as stated in Section # of Republic Act. No. 5546 entitled An Act Prohibiting the Sale of Tickets and/or the Collection of Contributions for Whatever Project or Purpose from the Students and Teachers of Public and Private Schools, Colleges and Universities.

2016 WORLD FOOD DAY CONTEST OF THE FOOD AND AGRICULTURE ORGANIZATION

The Food a nd Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations will conduct the 2016 World Food Day Contest with the t heme Climate is Changing, Food and Agriculture Must Too.

The Contest has two categories: Poster Contest, and Video Contest which aims to: 1. underscore climate change as threat to food security; and 2. enable the children- and youth-participants to express themselves on what they think about the threat of climate change to food security. The children and youth aged 5-19 years old will design a 12._0ster, and those aged 13-19 years will produce a video, not more than one minute. The deadline for submission of entries is on or before September 30, 2016. Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s . 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
