2017 UAA Core Workshop & Poster Session

The third Annual UAA Core Workshop and Poster Session will take place on Wednesday, December 13, from 1 to 4:30 p.m., in the main core viewing room of the Geologic Materials Center, located at 3651 Penland Pkwy in Anchorage. The event is open to the public, from grade school to adults, and, of course, professional geoscienK Ksts. The students present posters on their straK Kgraphic interpretaK Kons of North Slope formaK Kons to both geologic professionals and the public. The Alaska rock units featured this year relate to large discoveries made on the North Slope by Repsol and ConocoPhillips during the last two years. The students will use the event as an opportunity to communicate complex geologic ideas to the public.
