Duringspecialmeetingwith the RailwayBoardfor discussion on PNM itemsof NFIR on 1510712015, the Official Side explainedthat the NursingAllowanceis linked to the natureof duties of nursing staff and further advisedthat the matter is under further examinationin consultation with the Health Directorateof the Board.The Federationhad howevercontended that in terms of instructionsissuedby the nodal ministry i.e. Ministry of Health & Family Welfarevide O.M. No.2.28015/71l2008-N dated l9'n November2008,NursingAllowance shouldbe paid to the Nursing Personnelof all categories at all levelsworking in the Central GovernmentiUnion Territories.In the meeting,the Federationhad insistedupon the Railway Boardfor restoration of NursingAllowanceto the ANOs with retrospective effect.It is however noticedthat no progresshasbeenreportedto the Federation on the issue. NFIR, thereforerequeststhe Railway Board to expeditethe caseand issuemodified instructions restoring NursingAllowanceto ANOs. A copyof the instructionsissuedmay be endorsed to the Federation.
