Dear Sir/Madam, The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate change (IPCC) has promulgated the Special report on “Managing Risk of Extreme Events and Disasters to Advance Climate Change Adaptation” (SREX). In order to disseminate the main findings of SREX and to discuss the impacts of global climatic extremes to Vietnam, the Ministry of Natural resources and Environment in collaboration with the United Nation Development Programme in Vietnam (UNDP) will organise the workshop on “Climate Change and Climatic Extremes in Vietnam”. The workshop has the contribution of Mr. Rajendra Pachauri – Chairman of IPCC, as well as the international and national experts on climate change. The workshop details are: 1. Participants: Representatives from research institutes, universities and related ministries and sectors; 2. Time: 8:30 am - 5 pm, Friday, 17th August 2012. 3.
