Separate business and personal data for Android devices Your users can bring their own Android device and create a work profile that separates their personal apps and data from those they use for work. With the work profile, users add their G Suite account. They’ll be able to download apps you whitelist from the managed Google Play store. These will be marked with Android enterprise
after they’re installed, so users
can keep them separate from personal apps. If you need to wipe the device, personal apps and data aren’t removed.

Sign in to admin.google.com with your G Suite username and password.

Click Device Management.

From the menu on the left, click Android Settings.
4.
Click Work Profile.
5.
Next to Work Profile Setup, click the Down arrow ●
and choose an option:
User opt-in Users are prompted to create a work profile when they enroll their device for management, but they don’t have to set it up. If they don’t, they can still sync their work data, but you won’t be able to wipe it if it’s lost.

Enforce Users create a work profile, or they can’t use G Suite on their mobile device. (If their device doesn’t allow them to set up a work profile, this setting won’t work.)

Disable If you don’t want your users to set up separate work and personal profiles, choose this option.

On your device, tap Google Apps Device Policy

When asked to set up a work profile, tap Next or Create.

If you are asked to encrypt your device: a.
Tap OK, and tap Encrypt Phone or Encrypt Tablet.

Enter your device password or PIN, and tap Encrypt Phone or Encrypt Tablet.

Tap OK to create your work profile.
5.
Tap Set Up.
6.
Tap OK.
7.
Tap Authenticate.
8.
Enter your G Suite password and tap Next.
9.
Download apps from the Managed Google Play Store. If your Google Play Store is managed, you’ll see the Android enterprise icon
