SINGAPORE COLLEGE VEX ROBOTICS TEAM: CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE ! !
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
!
The Singapore College VEX Robotics Team is a group of students with the passion for science and technology, particularly in the field of robotics. Competing in local and international competitions since 2008, we have gained an excellent reputation both locally and amongst teams throughout the world.
!
Since graduating in 2011, our team no longer has support from the Ministry of Education and other government institutions. However, we would like to continue our passion and bring competitive robotics in Singapore to greater heights.
!
We hope to be the first Singapore college robotics team to represent the nation in the coming VEX Robotics Championship 2014(Anaheim, California). However, being independent from any institution or organisation, our team does not have sufficient funds to support our endeavour and would be grateful to any form of sponsorship or donation.
!
Through sponsoring our team, we also hope to benefit our sponsors by introducing their brand to youth all around the world who are interested in robotics as well as science and technology related careers.
ABOUT US
! SINGAPORE COLLEGE VEX ROBOTICS TEAM
!
Fresh out of National Service, The Singapore College VEX Robotics Team is trio of college students dedicated to the promotion of robotics in our alma mater Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) as well as the other school communities in Singapore.
M. SHAHDAN: ROBOT DRIVER AND MECHANIC.
JOEL FONG: ROBOT DRIVER AND PROGRAMMER.
JUN YU TAN: TEAM MANAGER AND MECHANIC
The pioneering robotics team in Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), we started the school’s robotics club in 2008, following our love and passion for technology.
!
Since graduating in 2011, our team had to put our interest and passion on hold and serve our country for the past 2 years. However, even through our national service robotics has been a huge part of our lives as Joel Fong works as an Artillery Technician and Jun Yu Tan as a Tank Operator of the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank. There, we learnt about the use of engineering in defence science and other real life situations.
!
We aim to return to the competition field at the VEX Robotics World Championships 2014 held in Anaheim California, with the new knowledge we have acquired from our time in national service and be the first college team to represent Singapore in the competition.
WHAT DO WE DO?
OUR 2011 ROBOT AND PREPARATIONS FOR THE VEX WORLD ROBOTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2011 (ORLANDO FLORIDA).
! Apart from competing in the VEX robotics competitions, our team supports the other high schools and tertiary institutions in Singapore who participate in the competition, such as Hai Sing Catholic High School, Rulang Primary School, Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) and Victoria Junior College.
!
We share ideas and hold practice sessions to foster a more fun and interactive robotics community in Singapore for others to join. As the older members in the community, we mentor the younger members and help them to learn more about robotics.
THE HIGH SCHOOL/MIDDLE SCHOOL (SINGAPORE COMBINED SCHOOLS TEAM)
RULANG PRIMARY SCHOOL, ANGLO-CHINESE SCHOOL (INDEPENDENT), HAI SING CATHOLIC HIGH.
