c) Plan for the town The Secretary would be asked to remind the Trust which groups had been contacted and SW whether the local councillors had expressed opinions. It was hoped that a consensus from several groups could progress the suggestions previously made, which had the support of members present. d) Parking legislation Mrs Smith was not present to report on progress from the Community Council. e) Finlay memorial The Secretary had written to the family with suggestions of the memorial they had proposed. f) Beach erosion The Secretary had written to East Lothian Council with the Trust’s concerns. g) War memorial history There was no information on whether funding had been obtained. h) FLAG coordinator It was not known if a volunteer had come forward. 4
Correspondence A member had asked for the Trust’s opinion on Tesco hiring advertising space adjacent to the road, which he considered to be intrusive, dangerous and distracting. The committee agreed with this opinion. It was unknown if planning consent had included such activity. It was noted that a similar advertisement had appeared at the recreation ground but had quickly disappeared. The Secretary would be asked to write to ELC. SW

Finance There were no financial matters to report.
6
Planning applications 12 Quality Street The plan was unknown. The Chair would ask the Secretary for the plan and discussions VH/SW would take place by email if considered necessary.
7
AOCB Museum display of projects The graveyard group had communicated with Mrs Burton about featuring the Kirk Ports project, along with other local projects, in the Coastal Communities Museum space AS before the museum re-opened in summer. The meeting was in favour and more information would be sought on what it would entail. 2
Gilsland housing development It was understood that Cala may be considering alternative sites for the affordable housing which was an obligatory part of the development and illustrated in their plans. Understood that this housing did not need to be built within the development but it was considered that a decision to re-site it would be unpopular. It was noted that people may have not objected to original plan because affordable housing was included in it. Cala would be asked how many units were actually going to be built on the site. SW 8
