Research interests • Electrohydrodynamics • Electrochemical systems for desalination and energy storage
• Micro- and nanofluidics • Electrokinetic transport • Transport in porous media
Past accomplishments • Proposed new chemical mechanism Current-Induced Membrane Discharge for high electrical currents in ion-selective systems important for e.g. desalination by electrodialysis and lab-on-a-chip systems • Did fundamental study of the coupling between surface chemistry and electrolyte chemistry in nanofluidic channels showing transient pH effects of large impact, including the effect of surface coating. • Studied the effect of CO2 from the atmosfere on the electrical conductance of nanofluidic systems by including bulk and surface chemistry showing deviations from standard predictions
Work • Postdoc, Stanford University Advisor: Professor Ali Mani
Jun 2012 – Present
