The Department hereby issues the guidelines on the End of School Year, (EOSY) 2016-2017 updating of learner profiles on t}le l€amer Information Sy8tem (LlS), and additional data requirementa in the Enhanced Basic Education lnformation System (EBEISI. The updating of information of learners' basic profiles, enrolmeot atatus, ead of school y€ar academic accomplishrrent for the whole school year in the LlS, and other useful data and infoimation is needed for ptranning & budgeting, allocation of rcsource8, and setting operational tarS€ts.

Class adviscrs are tasked to resolve all learner profile issues to ensure a complete and accuiate Master List of L.amers for SY 2016-2017,

In updating the EOSY Status 1€amer Profiles, the claas advisers ahall follos/ these atepa:

a. The EOSY statue of t]rc leamer shall be updated based on the foltrowing guidelines:

'Promoted" is the status of a leamer who has achieved a final grade of at Ieast 75ol" in aI barning a.reas. The harner will tr promoted to the n€xt gradc level. In t}le system, if no other status is selected, the bamer ir tagBed ae "Promoted'.

ii, 'Conditionally Promoted" is the statu8 of a leamer who did not meet erpectations in at most two (2) learning ateas. The lesrner muat paag remedial cbeees for learning areas where he/she failed, in order to be promoted to the next grade level. Otherwise, the learner is retained in the sarne grade level.

iii. "Retained" is the status of a learner who did not rtleet exp€ctationa in at leaEt tttree {3) learning areas. 'I}e leamer remains irr t}re saDe grade level. iv. -Tran8fc[ad Ouf is the atatus of a leamer rrho traDsferred to another school or AIS Program within the SY. The tagging of the learner as a traneferee will be the responsibility of the receiving school. The sy8tem will autoEatically utrdate the status of thc barner aa -Ttansferred Out" once the originating school taSs the learne! as "No langer in School", the receiving school enrolls t}le leamer, and both schoolE havc lirlalized their EOSY master lists. v. 'Droppcd Out" is the statuB of a learner who left the school and did not complete t}e fuU term for reasons other than transferring to anotier sch@l or ALS PrograE and death. The system will automatically update t]re statuE of the leamer ae "Dropped Out' if the originating school tags the learner aa "No longer in School" and he/Ehe i8 not enmlled in another school.
