“Portraiture” - $60 for 6 hours of instruction, materials included (*no class Nov 25-27)

November and December are special months where many cultural celebrations focus on acts of thanksgiving and kindness. Learn about the history of some of these traditions and make art and crafts which go with their themes. Specific holidays include Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Christmas and Kwanzaa. We will paint, collage and make sculptures. Games and related stories will also be part of our day!
From self-portraits to portraits of pets, we tell a story which includes looks and personality. We will look at different artists such as Frida Kahlo, Red Grooms, Da Vinci and many others. In this class, we will learn to draw, make paintings and collages.
