BEHAVIOR  Early Childhood Trauma Reaching and Teaching Children Exposed to Trauma Increasing numbers of children in our country are exposed to various forms of maltreatment and trauma including physical  and emotional neglect and abuse, sexual abuse, divorce and abandonment. Trauma in the early years of life results in a  multisystem failure of brain development and the attachment, regulatory, sensory processing, social and learning systems.  Because early childhood educators are "first responders" it is important to understand the implications of trauma and  strategies to create healing environments in the classroom.  3/22/2018 Region 18 Theater Session #: ​349461 $50 I'm Bored! The Fundamentals of Welding and Industrial Certification  Three day workshop for teachers to include Oxy Fuel cutting and student certifications, Stick and MIG welding and certifying  students, inspection protocols and how to initiate a welder certification program in your school. FCCLA Summer Summit - Family, Career and Community Leaders of America  This summit is a day-long training for local FCCLA advisors and chapter officers. DISTRICT & CAMPUS ADMINISTRATION  Reducing Disproportionality through Social Emotional Learning(SEL): How to get from Admiring the Problem to  Implementing Viable Solutions  This workshop provides a brief exploration of the challenges schools face in addressing over‐ or under‐representation of  specific student population groups in school programs, services, or accountability measures. The primary focus of the  workshop, however, will be on SEL as a viable solution. While not simply a program, SEL provides schools with a  comprehensive approach for addressing system‐wide issues (including disproportionality) and has been proven to reduce  discipline issues, improve student behavior, increase student engagement, and lead to an increase in academic achievement  of more than 11%. Participants will receive a comprehensive overview of SEL, as well as a review of the evidence‐based  practices, the systems‐related issues in implementation, and how schools can empower themselves to create sustainable  approaches. Early Childhood Trauma Reaching and Teaching Children Exposed to Trauma    Increasing numbers of children in our country are exposed to various forms of maltreatment and trauma including physical  and emotional neglect and abuse, sexual abuse, divorce and abandonment.
