1) Call 911  If no cell phone, use emergency Channel 16 on VHF Radio to relay emergency distress message to Coast Guard. They can patch you through to EMS 911 dispatch.

2) Provide Care to Victim  Stabilize victim and address immediate concerns.  Prepare victim for extraction.

3) Get victim to professional care ASAP.  Take victim to best extraction point (SEE REVERSE), where they can get professional treatment from paramedics.  Continue to provide care (CPR/First Aid) until help arrives.

6) Parent Liaison alerts higher chain of command.  Parent Liaison serves as shore-side coordinator and representative. Instructors are not to issue statements to media.
