Pyramid of
This week’s building block is…
Confidence
Respect without fear. May come from being prepared and keeping all things in proper perspective.
These character traits are being taught in our PE class and reinforced throughout the building. They are based on the “Pyramid of Success” found in the book Inch and Miles, Journey to Success by John Wooden.

If your child scratches his or her head frequently or if you hear of your child’s friends having it, inspect your child’s hair for nits and/or lice.” To help prevent the spread of head lice, “Do not use personal items belonging to others (combs, hair brushes, scrunchies, towels, hats, clothing, etc.); check weekly for head lice and/or nits; treat head and clean the home and car promptly when head lice are found; notify others (school, nurse, teacher, friends, parents).” Excerpt from Facts about Head Lice and How to Control Them. Students found to have live bugs will be sent home. Students found to have possibly viable nits will be checked daily to watch for recent hatches, until all nits are gone. Parents need to accompany students to school the following day after the occurrence of finding live lice to ensure they no longer have live bugs. If they still have live bugs, they will be sent home with the parent/guardian. Anytime we know of a case of live bugs, we do a classroom check, so please be sure to let us know when this happens. Contact Information Updates Please remember to contact the school office if your telephone number or your address has changed. It is extremely important for parents/guardians to keep their contact infor-
