Este es un deporte con un código ético importante que focaliza su juego en la deportividad y la no violencia. Flag football es la denominación de una modalidad de fútbol americano que se juega sin protecciones y sin placajes. En vez de placar, el jugador ha de “arrancar” una pequeña cinta o bandera a modo de cinturón que porta el rival. La finalidad del juego es anotar un “touch down”, es decir, llevar la pelota dentro de la zona final de anotación, mediante un pase o una carrera.
