SINOPSIS

Dan Millman (interpretado por Scott Mechlowicz) es un joven guapo, con dinero, buen estudiante y, que además, forma parte del equipo de élite de gimnasia deportiva, estando a un paso de clasificarse para los Juegos Olímpicos. Pero a pesar de toda esta fachada de éxito, en el fondo hay algo que no le deja ser feliz. En uno de sus paseos nocturnos, para mitigar el sufrido insomnio, conoce a un enigmático Sócrates (interpretado por Nick Nolte), una especie de "filósofo de gasolinera" para Dan. Pero la vida del protagonista se derrumba cuando sufre un accidente de moto que le aparta de su sueño olímpico, pues los médicos le diagnostican una complicación en la pierna que es irreversible. Esta nueva situación, con la ayuda de Sócrates, se convierte en una nueva oportunidad para encontrarse a sí mismo y luchar por lo que le apasiona, la gimnasia.
