FINANCE “Finance is one of the most exciting fields of business. It forms the basis of decision making for financial managers, investors, stock exchanges, creditors, and regulators.” — Lynn Doran, Teaching Professor of Finance
ABOUT THE MAJOR The finance major provides a comprehensive background in the areas of corporate finance, investments, international finance, and financial institutions in a global environment. Elective courses are offered in specialized fields such as investment banking, derivatives, fixed income, real estate finance, and financial statement analysis. Many finance graduates accept positions with top investment banks and leading commercial banks. Other finance graduates accept employment in corporate and government financial management or in consulting.
