Hello Borchers Preschool Parents! Can’t believe we are in the last month of school already! The month of May will be a busy one! Here are a few things that everyone needs to know: The ​Sunbeams (4/5 year olds)​ will be going to Kid’s Commons on ​Friday, May 5.​ We will leave the school at 9:30. The cost for this trip is $5.00 per child. Parents are free; however if there are siblings coming the cost for them is $5.00. Money and permission slip is due on Wednesday, May 3. ​We will carpool to the Kid’s Commons and should return to the church between 11:45-12:00. All Classes ​will be participating in the closing/Graduation program on ​Wednesday, May 10 at 7:00pm.​ All classes will be recognized and the Sunbeams will graduate. We ask that each Rainbow (3/4 year olds)​ bring 2 dozen cookies for the reception following the program. We also need some of the Rainbow parents to help serve punch and cake at the reception. Please let one of the teachers know if you can help!!! There will be a class picnic on ​Wednesday, May 10 at 11:00am​ at the Picnic Woods across the road from the preschool. (If bad weather we will have the picnic inside) Each child will need to bring a sack lunch for the picnic. Parents are invited to join us for the picnic. We will practice the Closing/Graduation Program and then have our picnic. This is our last day of school. If a parent is not attending the picnic, pickup will be at the regular time of 11:30. The ​Rainbows 3/4 ​will be scheduling special parent/teacher conferences for each child. The teachers will be going over your child’s progress and what skills they will need to know for next year in the Sunbeams class. During the summer months, remember to continue to work with your child on his/her letter recognition and number recognition as well as writing his/her name. This will help them remember the skills they learned this year coming into school in the fall. A reminder to our ​3/4 RAINBOWS​, if you are planning to send your child to Borchers Preschool next year, be sure to send in your enrollment form along with the registration fee as soon as possible in order to reserve your spot. This is a first come, first serve acceptance. We only have space for 14 children for the Sunbeam class. Hope to see many of you back next year! It has been a true pleasure working with your children this year. We want to wish the graduates good luck in the future and hope to see the other kids in the fall!
