Dear Holiday Parade Participant, Thank you in advance for your participation in the Lake 98.1 Holiday Parade presented by the Sheboygan Jaycees that begins at 5 pm on Sunday, November 26, 2017. Please look for your assigned numbered position on page 3 and your corresponding assembly area is shown in the map on page 4; note that positions are subject to change. Please be in your area as close to 4:30 pm as possible. There will be Jaycees present to aid in locating your position. If you must cancel your entry for any reason, please email [email protected] as soon as possible. The parade begins at 7th Street and Center Avenue, travels north on 7th Street to Erie Avenue, west on Erie Avenue to 8th Street, and travels south on 8th Street to end at the Mead Library. The TV crew will be recording in front of the Weill Center. The Lake 98.1 radio crew will be doing a live broadcast in front of the Mead Library. After the parade, award announcements and the tree lighting ceremony will take place at the Mead Library. If your entry is selected for an award, you will be contacted during the week after the parade to make arrangements for receiving your award. The rules and regulations are as follows:  All entries that include vehicles MUST have lights and the vehicles should have their running lights on during the parade.  Judging will take place in front of the Weill Center on 8th Street, please have your group prepared.  Do NOT throw candy, advertising items, etc. from your unit according to City Ordinance; you are encouraged to HAND out these items to persons along the way.  Do not overload your unit with people.  Drinking of intoxicants by any parade participant during the parade is prohibited.  Water guns or blasters of any kind are prohibited.  Standstill performances by parade participants shall be limited to those times when the parade is slowed or stopped.  All “live” animal entries shall include a clean-up crew.  Parade participants are not allowed access to the parade route until the parade commences.  Parade participants shall not do anything to hinder the progress of the parade or interfere with the procession of the other parade participants.  You may have music or sound devices on or with your unit, but we must have been informed about them previously.  Failure to comply with any of these rules and regulations can and will result in immediate removal from the parade and your group will not be invited back to participate in any future Sheboygan Jaycees parades.  Most of all, have fun!
