Leg Warmer.

Girl for 4 to 7 years. Materials : • Knitting Needles 5.5 mm (U.S. 9) • auxiliary needle. • 6 markers (required) • A tapestry needle to sew the edges to finish. • 100g Wool Chunky Bernat (or equivalent). 100% acrylic, machine washable and dryable. Size: about 27 cm long. Stitch Glossary : * Rib knit2/purl 2 but begin with 1 knit/2 purl.

* Cable : •

T1: knits on 6 stitches.

Slip 2 sts on cable needle and leave at front of work. Knit the next 2 sts, then take the two stitches from cable needle and knit them. Knit the next two sts. •

T2: knits on 6 stitches.

Knit 2 sts. Slip the next two stitches onto cable needle and put it on the back of the work. Knit the next two sts. Then take the two stitches from cable needle and knit them. Explanations: • Cast on 36 stitches. • Work 6 rows rib 2/2 starting with knit 1 and purl 2. • Continue as shown: • You can insert markers on each side of the 6 stitches place to facilitate the identification of cables. 1st row: purl 3, knit 6, purl 6, knit 6, purl 6, knit 6, purl 3. 2nd row: work sts as they appear. 3rd row: purl 3, T1, purl 6, T1, purl 6, T1, purl 3. 4th row: work sts as they appear. 5th row: purl 3, T2, purl 6, T2, purl 6, T2, purl 3. 6th row : work sts as they appear. Repeat from the 3rd row to the 6th row more 9 times. (It is possible to repeat the rows more if you want a longer leg) . Finish with the 6th row. • Work 6 rows rib 2/2 starting with knit 1 and purl 2, and close the job with leaving a long thread for sewing. • Sew the edges of leg warmer.
