Rehearsal  Schedule  for  Monday  evening,  November  19,  2012     Location:  North  Salem  HS  Choir  Room  (Room  116).   Due  to  parent  conferences,  parking  may  be  more  difficult  than  normal.       6:30-­7:30  PM        Work  on  Borodin  Symphony  No.  2,  Mvt.  III    (Slow  movement)         Be  early  enough  to  be  thoroughly  warmed  up  and  tuned.     Instrumentation:     all  flutes     both  oboes  and  English  horn  guest,  Monica  Alfson,       all  bassoons     all  clarinets     both  horns     all  trumpets     all  trombones     tuba     harp     timpani     strings        7:30-­8:30  PM        1st  rehearsal  with  Kathryn  Lucktenberg  on  the  Saint  Saens  Violin   Concerto  No.  3.       Be  sure  to  have  measures  numbered  for  the  concerto.   See  last  week’s  email  or  website  Announcements  for  the  link  to  Mr.  Garrett’s  notes  which   contain  the  measure  numbering  information.     Trumpets:  we  are  checking  with  U  of  O  Library  to  see  if  they  have  the  trumpet  parts  for  the   concerto.  They  are  in  E  Trumpet.    The  IMSLP  website  did  not  have  them  to   download.        Please  check  with  me  at  the  beginning  of  the  rehearsal  regarding   your  schedule.     We  are  down  to  our  final  6  hours  of  regular  rehearsal  (3  hours  left  on  our  part  of  the   program  and  3  hours  on  the  concerto).  Attendance  during  the  season  is  always  critical,  but   never  more  so  than  now,  so  please  make  attendance  your  top  priority.       In  addition,  personal  preparation  outside  of  rehearsal  is  always  an  expectation.    Also   make  sure  that  you  have  a  pencil  ready  on  the  stand,  and  take  accurate  notes  of  all   changes  we  make.         Percussion:    David  and  Ty-­‐  no  percussion  for  my  group  will  be  needed  other  than  Zachary   Gulaboff  Davis  on  timpani.  Please  attend  the  Philharmonia  rehearsal  for  the   evening.
