Field Trip to GRCM Our class will be taking a field trip to the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum on Wednesday, April 19. We will be leaving Bauer at 9:10 and returning at 11:50. We will be back in time for recess and lunch, so your child may still order hot lunch that day. Bauer’s Parent Club will cover the cost of student admission. Chaperones attend for free! We will need at least 7 parent chaperones. Please let me know if you can join us. We would love to have you come along! J

-In Literacy Centers this past week, students have been working with a partner on various literacy activities including: reading poems, building CVC words, writing capital & lowercase letters, labeling spring words, counting syllables in our names, and coloring & reading emergent reader booklets (just to name a few.)

Reminders

-In Math Centers, students have been working with a partner on activities such as making patterns, writing numbers 1-10, counting to 50 using our counting chart, and using Rekenreks (arithmetic racks) to show numbers 1-3 in various ways. For example, students can slide two beads in the top row and one bead in the bottom row to show that 2 and 1 make 3. -Thank you to all the parents who have come in to read to our class! We are truly enjoying all of our guest readers!
