June 10: Our Annual Teens vs. Adults Softball game will be held at the High School softball field. Once again our Brethren neighbors will attend this event. This is a fundraiser for our youth group. Hamburgers will be served for a $5.00 donation. June 25-29: Vacation Bible School: Kids, I’ll give you the details as we appr oach the event. Kids, in today’s readings Jesus appears to his apostles and greets them with a sign of peace. He sends them out to share the Good News of Salvation to the whole world. With the help of the Holy Spirit, let us also greet those we encounter with the peace of Christ and share His Good News. May the Holy Spirit be with us all, ~Dcn. Dan

The Church celebrates the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ — Corpus Christi (the real presence of the body and blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in the Eucharist — known as transubstantiation ) on Sunday, June 3rd. St. Ambrose invites all to come to the Holy Mass beginning at 8:30 am on that Sunday. A procession will be led with the Blessed Sacrament around the Church grounds immediately after Mass. We will be praying the Rosary in procession and for those who are unable to walk in the procession, a rosary will be led in the Church. After the procession we will gather in the Parish Hall for a breakfast brunch and friendship. Come join us. Wear comfortable shoes for walking. Each family is asked to bring a large favorite breakfast dish to share. REMINDER: There will be no 7:30 am Mass on June 3rd. The Feast of Corpus Christi is one time when our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament is exposed not just to faithful Catholics, but to all the world. This is a time when Catholics can show their love for Christ in the Real Presence by honoring Him in a very public way. It is also a wonderful way in which we can show our love for our neighbors by bringing Our Lord and Savior close to them. So many conversions are a result of Eucharistic Adoration experienced from inside the Church. How many more there would be if we could reach those who only drive by the church in worldly pursuits! The Rosary intentions for each decade of the Glorious Mysteries will be: 1. Family
2. Farmers/Ranchers 3. Our Children/Youth 5. Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life
4. Elderly/Sick
THANK YOU NOTE: We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our entire parish for making our wedding day so perfect! Everything that you did completely amazed our new family. We do not deserve all of the love and help that we have experienced from all of you, but we are so blessed and thankful to have received it. God is Good and so are all of you! ~Lane & Kalli Baxter and Steven & Teresa Jansa
From the desk of Bishop Sis: May is Foster Care Month. The Texas Bishops launched St. Joseph Ministry, a foster care initiative, to assist the state in recruiting and retaining foster families for the 30,000 children in its welfare system. While not everyone may be a foster parent, there are a multitude of ways to care for foster children and their families. There is a resource guide which provides specific means of both direct and non-direct engagement, as well as a discernment process to assist parish leaders in determining what roles the parish might fill.
