DISTRICT 10 DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION CANDIDATES The 10 Congressional District held its district level caucus Saturday, April 21, in Madison to elect delegates to the Democratic National Convention. One of 10th District’s five men and women elected to Georgia’s delegation is Columbia County Democratic Party’s Jerry Swain of Martinez. 2012 Kick-Off Fundraising Dinner Your commitment is needed to promote our upcoming 2012 Kick-Off Fundraising Dinner. Tickets are available to all members for both purchase and sale. We are well aware that our team goal is to be committed to promoting the Democratic Party. We can express our commitment and team goals by purchasing and/or selling tickets as well as ads to businesses, friends and family. The funds generated from this event will be used to assist the Columbia County Democratic Party in securing a headquarters for the upcoming Presidential election. In addition, these funds will help with other monthly operation expenses and assist Democratic candidates during elections.

Dear Fellow Democrats: Your scholarship committee has graciously accepted the responsibility of the Silent Auction for the Kick off Dinner on June 16, 2012. The Executive Committee has promised that all proceeds from the Silent Auction will go to the scholarship fund. We need your help and donations for this Silent Auction to be a success. We would like to ask every member of the Columbia County Party to donate one item or more if you would like. Some suggestions of donations would be: bake a cake for the auction, make a basket filled w either coffee, wine, chocolates, garden tools, books, golf items, fishing items. Do you have a beach home or mountain home that you could donate for a weekend? How about old jewelry that you don't wear anymore. Or how about dishes, glassware, silver, knickknacks or any item that you no longer want or use. These items need to be in near perfect condition and packaged beautifully. You can go to Pier I or Tuesday Morning and find beautiful boxes for display. If you have any questions regarding the auction please call me at 706-868-8658. If you would like to bring your donated item to the next meeting that would be wonderful! We're looking for a place to store the donated items and if any member can help us out with storage that would be wonderful! Respectfully, Rose T. Pancake Breakfast -Saturday, February 25, 2012

The Columbia County Democratic Party conducted a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Liberty Park Community Center on Newmantown Road in Grovetown, GA. Reverend Willey was the speaker and the breakfast was a success.

The Columbia County Democratic Party will hold qualifying for the 2012 general election. When:

Columbia County Young Democrats Columbia County Young Democrats attended a State Young Democrats Meeting and Platform training in Atlanta, Georgia. Young Dems across the State of Georgia learned how to successfully and properly build their chapters by tabling and other activities, how to plan social events and how to successfully pursue careers in politics. Guest speakers included representatives from President Obama’s campaign and Georgia state legislators.

The voter registration committee worked its way throughout all six Columbia County High Schools registering voters. The committee has set a high standard for others to get involved.
