Student Council would like to cordially invite all fathers and their princesses to "A Royal Ball" at Northeast. The Dance will be held on Friday, May 12. Doors will open at 5:30p.m. for a fabulous feast of pizza and dessert, fluttering flowers, princess portraits, music, and waltzing! The Dance will begin at 6:00p.m. and the magical evening will end when the clock strikes 8:00p.m. The RSVP for this event will open on Thursday, April 27. Get ready with your crowns, tiaras, suit tails, and glass slippers! We hope to see all of our Northeast princesses there!

NORTHEAST VARIETY SHOW COMING IN MAY The Northeast Elementary Variety Show will be on Thursday, May 25 at 7:00 P.M. and an assembly for the school on Wed. May 24. The Variety Show is for all students, grades 3 – 5 who would like to share their talent. Acts could be vocal, instrumental, dance, skits, etc. There will also be opportunities for emcees and stage crew. Information about auditions and rehearsals will be available after Spring Break in the music room. Auditions will be held the first week of May. Book Fair at Mountain View Thank you for supporting our kids in their love of reading. Based on our last Book Fair here at Northeast the school community walked away with 971 books which equates to 174,781 independent reading minutes Ends Tomorrow!

State testing is underway here at Northeast. The schedule is here, and is also available on our website. All grade levels will be tested in language arts and math, and 5th grade will also be tested in science. We are asking all students have their own set of ear buds for each day they are testing. We ask that children eat a healthy breakfast, get to bed on time, and relax. Parents, we ask that you please make sure your children are at school during their testing times, and do not schedule appointments during the testing window. Trying to test 350+ students is a challenge and having them test with their classmates is always best. Thank You! Please see the Northeast Spring Testing Letter here for more information.

Calendar Update Northeast and Mountain View will be moving to the Conventional Calendar for the 17-18 school year CLICK HERE. Feedback from stakeholders overwhelmingly supported this change to align with our feeder. We have submitted the change request with district and are on track to move to conventional calendar next year.

Calling out for Kleenex Donations YEARBOOKS! We were sent a few extra yearbooks! If you would like to claim one, please send $25 in cash or check (made out to NE/MVE PTO) to the office. These are first come first serve, and must be claimed by 5/5 or they will be returned. Yearbooks will not be distributed until closer to the end of the year.
