MINISTRY ORDER NO. lof 79 November 22, 1979 Pursuant to the provisions of Letter of Instructions No. 799 dated January 20, 1979, and of the Rules and Regulations Governing the establishment of Selection and Promotion Boards issued by the Civil Service Commission, said Promotion Boards are hereby established in this Ministry to assist the appointing authority in the recruitment and promotion of personnel in the civil service to positions in the first and second levels whose members are as follows: First Level 1. Mr. Gregorio A. Castillo (Representative of Management) - Chairman 2. Mr. Jose P. Barcelona (Official directly responsible for - Member Personnel Management) 3. Service/Division Chief where vacancy exists)

The different regional offices of the Local Government Finance shall immediately take steps to organize their own Regional Promotion Boards in consultation and coordination with, the respective regional offices of the Civil Service Commission in their respective areas. The duties and functions of these Boards are as outlined in Letter of Instructions No. 799 and in the implementing rules and regulations promulgated by the Civil Service Commission as well as in Ministry Orders issued by the Ministry of Finance on procedural implementation of said LOI. This Order supersedes Ministry Order No. 9-70, dated March 21, .1979 and all other orders, circulars, memoranda, policies, guidelines, rules and standards contrary to, or inconsistent herewith, are hereby modified or repealed accordingly. All concerned shall be guided accordingly. This order takes effect immediately.
