AGE PROGRAM (EOWW) | Colorado SFY17-18
The EOWW Advisory Committee made up of the Colorado Department of Human Services, Colorado Workforce Development Council, county departments, community based organizations, and local/national TANF program and/ or subsidized employment program expert representatives will make recommendations on the program elements for the EOWW. The following is a menu of those options to be considered.
LEGISLATION BACKGROUND | INTRODUCTION
The Colorado Revised Statutes (C.R.S.)(26-2-706.6) Title 26 Article 2 Part 706, as created by the Employment Opportunities with Wages Program Act, (SB 17-292) directs the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS), to work with counties, community-based organizations, and the Colorado Workforce Development Council to develop an employment program and reporting requirements that are designed to serve qualifying Colorado Basic Cash Assistance Participants. The Employment Opportunities with Wages Program (EOWW) can consist of subsidized employment, apprenticeships, on-the-job training (OJT) opportunities, or transitional job placement.
