MSP PTC MINUTES November 10, 2015 The Meeting was called to order at 7:04 In Attendance Matthew Guarino Crystal St. Lawrence Randy Peck Jody Muldoon Sue Lacombe Cheryl Provost Jill Samperi Parent Members Approval of Minutes The minutes were reviewed from October meeting and approved by Matthew Guarino and Cheryl Provost. Treasurer’s Report- Balance - $1,043.68 Treasurer’s report was reviewed and approved by Chrystal St. Lawrence & Matthew Guarino. Principal’s Report Costume for charity was a success; $507.00 was raised for the food pantry.  December is Parent teacher conference sign ups.

Teachers Report – 7th Grade NY trip will be April 22, 2016 – More info to follow  May 16, 2016 going to see The Giver at Bushnell  Mexico Day November 20,2015 

8th Grade

Students will pick classes for High school in the next couple months. Introduction to high school will begin on November 19



All Grades- Three assemblies were given to students on Veterans Day.

Board of Ed report Welcome to Crystal St. Lawrence to the Board of Education.  New accountability standards in Ct., we are working on a more comprehensive school performance.  Second round of after school programs will come out soon.

Old Business:  VP position on the PTC is still open and needs to be filled. If you are interested please reach out to Mr. Guarino or Crystal St. Lawrence. New Business:  Motion to accept a request a $10.00 donation per student in place of fundraisers. A donation stand will be available during conferences.  If you are looking for great Holiday gifts please keep in mind that on December 5 & 6 a Five Below fundraiser will be taking place.  8th grade dance theme this year will be Mardi gras. If you have any decorations that may fit the theme please let our PTC members know.  A possible fundraising art teaching class for parents. More info to follow. Adjourned 8:00 PM 
