NCCS has been at the forefront of inter-disciplinary research for over three decades. Scientists at NCCS have been successful in imparting valuable services across the nation in providing animal cells for research work through indigenously developed and established repositories. Over the years, the institution has also been able to develop and diversify its services to other areas as well. We are at a stage where a separate wing called “NCCS services wing” will be deployed in order to stream line and safeguard the potential platforms for services in the best interest of the institution and the country. The services wing will be led by appropriate personnel with sufficient experience and acumen. NCCS invites applications from Indian Nationals including those retired from Govt. The Consultant must have a PhD degree in basic science discipline, with atleast 5 years of demonstrated research experience in industry.

Monthly Consultancy Fees Rs. 60,000/to Rs. 90000/which would be subjected to income tax rules thereof.

3 years (Initially for 6 months and then will be reviewed every 6 months)
Desirable Experience: Prior experience working in industrial R&D or service industry in the area of Life Science/Pharma/Biotech. Candidates having extensive cell biology research experience. Terms of Reference : Consultant will develop service wing of NCCS and oversee the service related activities of NCCS broadly in the following areas: 1) Cell based screening assays which are developed in-house 2) Validation of cell lines 3) DNA based assays/diagnostics 4) Proteomics 5) Generation of transgenic mice 6) Production of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies 7) Novel in-vivo models for understanding disease burden 8) Microbiology related services Interested candidates may send their applications in the prescribed format along with all the necessary certificates to “The Director, National Centre for Cell Science, Pune University Campus, Ganeshkhind, Pune – 411 007”, on or before 21st July, 2017.
