The Chairman's Address at the Closing Ceremony of the Teachers’ Training Workshop “Teachers can bring about revolution in the educational world. The trained teachers, in accordance with the national requirement and modern trend, play an important role in the characterization and development of the personality of students. Teachers' Training Institutes are strategic because they train teachers who are the architects of future. Teachers' Training develops the art of promoting educational standard and ensures quality education. It prepares young men and women of our country who can lead and steer the destiny of our nation.” Referring to Alvin Toffle, the Chairman quoted, “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.” “A good teacher”, he added, “is to be honored more than the parents because parents bring life to the child and the teachers teach him the art of living.” He termed both the teachers and the trainers as the real Chief Guest of the event and not he himself. The Chairman spoke these words while addressing the closing ceremony of the three-week long Workshop. Among others, the ceremony was attended by Mr. Ahsaan Bhutta, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad and Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Uppal.

The First-ever Teachers’ Training Workshop Since its inception in 1987, Quaid-e-Azam Divisional Public School and College has been rendering yeoman's services for the inhabitants of Gujranwala and its suburban areas. The quality of education requires competence and improvement in every aspect of the education and the institution. The management headed by the worthy Chairmen, right from the founder chairman Mr. A.Z.K. Sherdil, down to the current one, Mr. Shamail Ahmad Khawaja, left no stone unturned in maintaining the standard of the institution. However, this indispensable facet of education, the Teachers' Training, remained a Cinderella for one reason or the other. Since the techniques and methods, employed by the educationists and the teachers change according to the requirement of the subject, age and the area, Workshops and Teachers’ Training are arranged so that the knowledge of the teachers about the contemporary tools, techniques and methods is updated. This prepares the nation for the challenges of the future individually, socially, economically and politically. Sensing this need of the paramount significance, efforts to train the teachers, engaging the in-house teachers, were made. Sometimes, the teachers were sent to The British Council, Lahore also.

The Dream Comes True Notwithstanding innumerable constraints, the dream of the first ever Teachers' Training, at large scale, under the patronage of worthy Commissioner / Chairman, Mr. Shamail Ahmad Khawaja has been materialized. A Teachers' Training Workshop was specially arranged at District Training and Support Center, Ghakkar by the Management and the Administration of Quaid-e-Azam Divisional Public School and College through high ranking foreign-trained Master trainers from Directorate of Staff Development, the Govt. of the Punjab. The rigorous training started daily at 7:30 a.m. and ended at 1:30 p.m. About 120 teachers, including 12 from the Wazirabad Campus, were engaged in the activity of getting Teachers' Training.
